What is MyBloop?

The BloopLoader is a great new application that allows you to upload files to MyBloop directly from your desktop. You can drag and drop files and control them from a Windows-like interface, which is familiar to all users and doesn't require you to learn anything new to use. The current maximum size per file is 1GB. There are no limited to the number of files you can upload. There are also no limits on bandwidth.How many files can I store on my account?
You can store an unlimited number of files in your account. Just make sure to organize your files into folders because when someone views your profile it could take their computer some time to display everything.Are there any hidden costs or fees we have to pay in order to use MyBloop?
MyBloop is a free service, you do not have to pay to use MyBloop. There will always be a free service and we will never prevent access to your files or require you to upgrade. There will be a "PRO" version of MyBloop in the near future, which is entirely optional, which will give you more features with your files. However, both Free and PRO users will always have access to their files.Why can only users in certain countries signup to MyBloop?
The MyBloop architecture and infrastructure is currently built and optimized mainly for users in United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand. We will be allowing more countries to sign up to MyBloop as we expand our presence around the world. We only allow countries to sign up once we setup MyBloop to be accessible with maximum performance from that area, which MyBloop users have come to expect from us. We're a growing company which needs to guarantee a certain level of quality and performance as we evolve. We apologize for any inconvenience. MyBloop will be available to more countries soon.Current users who signed up before the limitation will still have access to all their files like normal. Only new users are affected.
Will my files ever be deleted or lost? Can I rely on MyBloop to store my vital files?
Your files will never be deleted or lost. You can definitely store your vital files on MyBloop. We strive for excellence in file storage and we have built very powerful technology to ensure our user's files are always available. However, if you decide to store important files on MyBloop you should also keep backups elsewhere. If it's really something important, you don't want just one copy -- make duplicates and keep a personal copy of it!Are there any bandwidth limits for a file or for an account?
There are absolutely no limits on MyBloop! Your files can be viewed an unlimited number of times.Please remember that while we do allow unlimited use of bandwidth, our automated system detects potentially copyrighted and illegal content. When an illegal file is detected we can decide to disable access to the file. Please don't take advantage of unlimited bandwidth by sharing illegal content.
Can I make my files private? How are my files protected from other users?
Just access the "My Files" page by clicking this link. Locate the file and/or folder you would like to mark as private, then right click it and press "Hide selected". The file will no longer be visible on your profile. However, if you give the link to the file to someone, they will be able to access it. So just make sure you give the link only to people you want to allow access to.What kind of files can I upload?
You can upload any kind of file. We accept music, videos, pictures, zip files, exe files -- anything. There are only restrictions placed on some types of files for security reasons, this includes files like .js and .php.Can I upload more than one file at a time?
Yes. You can choose between to methods to upload. You can use the web-based Flash uploader by clicking here -- this allows you to select multiple files by holding the "SHIFT" button on your keyboard and selecting multiple files. Another very popular method is using our new downloadable program called the BloopLoader Beta (download it here). The BloopLoader works for Windows and Mac and allows you to drag and drop files and entire folders from your desktop onto MyBloop.What can I do with a MyBloop account?
You can upload one file or you can upload your entire hard drive -- you choose what you want to put on your MyBloop account. Once your files are on MyBloop, you can keep them there for backup or you can share that file with friends. Once a file is stored on MyBloop, you don't have to upload the file to every individual person you want to send it to. You just upload it to MyBloop once and give everyone else the link. MyBloop takes care of the rest -- all for free.My upload and/or download speed are slow. What can I do?
We do not have any bandwidth limitations on MyBloop. This is probably because of your Internet connection or your location. However, we are constantly expanding MyBloop to more data centers to allow for faster transfer speed.Can I hotlink files on MyBloop from my own website?
Only images can be hotlinked. We will be allowing support for hotlinking more kinds of files for users with MyBloop Pro accounts, which will become available in the future.Can I use download accelerators?
No. Download accelerators are not allowed on MyBloop. They break all the HTTP standards and rules and in some cases can lead to infinite loops when downloading files on MyBloop.How does MyBloop make money?
That's our secret sauce. MyBloop was self-funded and we now make money from advertisers.Why can't I download songs from MyBloop?
MyBloop is a service that allows you to share files with friends and family. We allow users to download all files types except for music. Downloading music without paying for it is illegal in the United States, where we are based, so we only allow our users to "stream", or listen, to music on MyBloop. Though we would love to be able to give users this option, we're still in the process of working with music labels to allow this. Otherwise, MyBloop would not be able to exist if it violated any laws.What kind of files can I download from MyBloop?
You can download anything besides music files at this time in order to comply with international copyright law. MyBloop could not exist if it violates international copyright law.When I try to download a file I an getting an error? What can I do?

Just let us know what issue you're having exactly and include the link to the file that is giving you a problem. We'll take a look.How can I take music from MyBloop and put/embed it onto my website, blog or MySpace page?
When you're listening to an MP3 or Playlist, look for the "Embed this player in your MySpace, blog or any website" link. In that area you'll see a box which allows you to copy and paste some code onto a website. Once that code is placed, the Bloop Player will show up on the page. It works just like a YouTube video.How can I send a file that is on MyBloop to someone else?
When you are viewing a file on MyBloop, just copy the website address (URL) on the top of your screen and send it to your friend. A sample URL can be seen in the picture below:
